Akaka Falls is located in Akaka Falls State Park just north of Hilo, HI. This is a very popular waterfall that plunges 442 feet into a bowl shaped gorge below. You can view the waterfall from an area that can be reached by a sidewalk path that winds though jungle like vegetation and crosses smaller streams. This trail completes a circle that allows additional viewing of Akaka Falls as well as Kahuna Falls.
Amenities include parking, drinking water and restrooms.
