Ai opio Fish trap is a 1.7 acre pond, consisting of a stone and coral wall forming an artificial enclosure along a naturally curving shoreline.
Located just north of Kona, it is accessible from and parking is available at Honokohau Boat Harbor. The fish trap is part of Kaloko Honokohau National Park and can be accessed by hiking in from their visitor center.
There is a very nice beach and is usually not crowed offering swimming, snorkeling and picnicking.
No amenities are available on beach.
